What used to be the most restricted area of the city can now be defined as the small "Soho" of Tirana. In communist times no-one, except an elite group of party members, was allowed inside the "Block". This might be one of the reasons why it now turned into such a popular area. Blloku is full of old villas of communist officials that turned into hip and modern bars, clubs, and restaurants. This is the place to go for a drink with your friends. Blloku is full of live, day and night.
