Black Cockatoo Bush Camp and Four Wheel Drive Course is 13 kilometres from Naracoorte in the Limestone Coast, Set in the farming lands near a water hole, surrounded by natural bushlands. Four wheel drivers must be insured for off road driving on the private property. The bush camp is not connected to the grid but has an infrastructure of 28 limited powered sites, run by a 'stand-alone solar system', with back up wind turbine and diesel generator. Unfortunately out of order until system is rectified. We can currently supply limited diesel power to 16 powered outlets between 5pm to 9pm and 9.30pm Friday and Saturday. Campers are welcome to bring their own generator. There is underground tap water throughout the campground (drinkable). We offer camping facilities for anything from swags to a motor home and big rigs. Bunkhouse accommodation: available for 10 people, including use of fully equipped camp kitchen and 12 volt led lighting. Solar showers and flush toilets, bush walking and bird watching, in 120 hectares of virgin scrub. Pets welcome - rules apply. Contact the operator for prices.
