Avondale Forest Park - Cairn Walk

“The Cairn” was constructed by early forestry students from stone they had collected while clearing field boundaries of the estate. From here there is a magnificent view up the Great Ride and down the valley across the Vale of Avoca and the Avonmore river. The walk connects up with the Slí na Slainte walk and the near the end with the Pine Trail. It also crosses with the Exotic Tree and Centenary trails.The route can be walked in either direction.
