About
Eat at Milton's is a small, high design restaurant overseen by the Michelin starred French chef, Alain Parodi. The restaurant should be commended for it's curbside appeal achieved by contrasting Oreo stark modernism with soft, potted flowers and olive trees, echoed inside with angular seating and creative light fixtures. The overall presentation meets the criteria of being artful and lovely, but still the restaurant seems lacking in something essential; the warmth of the love of food. Opinions of the French inspired, Greek infused lunch and dinner options at Milton's (€ 30-37 a person) are mixed between the very disappointed and the mostly satisfied. Their strength lies in their axial position on a well trafficked pedestrian street and offering some average priced side items such as specialty coffees, chocolates and teas with the same dedication to presentation and attention to detail; beverages are presented in giant porcelain mugs with moist lemon cake- sugars arranged by color along the edge of the saucer. Breakfast items such as croque madam, torte with Parmesan, and other egg dishes are surprisingly affordable at €5-6 a plate. Go to Milton's when your mind and schedule are relaxed as service is polite but leisurely. Nearest metro: Syntagma
