About
In business since the 1980s, this dining room looks much older and, in fact, evokes a rustic farmstead with its old stone walls, fireplace, and hardwood floors. Guests sit at pine tables and stools, taking in the backdrop of dust-covered wine bottles and farm equipment. In such a traditional setting, you expect old-fashioned, time-tested recipes -- and that's what you get. The kitchen uses first-rate and fresh ingredients in their hearty, regional fare such as local fish stuffed with shellfish and baked in a puff pastry. A side dish worth savoring is the mushrooms grown in the nearby countryside and served in olive oil with a green-pepper sauce. An unusual concoction is prawns stewed with fresh avocado. The kitchen also turns out one of the best shellfish-laced paellas in town.
