Ushered in through a skinny art deco lobby and taken up in a manually operated vintage elevator to this obscurely located gallery in Miracle Mile (just a few blocks from LACMA), you would never suspect the impressive dimensions and superb nomenclature at the root of the Ace Gallery's excellence. It's not until you step out of the elevator directly into the Ace's front room and turn the corner that the Ace will unravel itself before you in all its full, luxuriously spaced glory, populated with some of the finest artwork. You may journey down a few hallways featuring large format works of photography, painting and sculpture, as well as pop by a few rooms designated to just one unique sculptural arrangement. The Ace is a world-class "small" gallery not to be missed.
