Here's a list of Best Picnic Spots in Macau recommended by our experts:
The unique destination of Macau is dotted with tranquil and relaxing parks, gardens and natural attractions such as beautiful beaches - for the perfect picnic. At night, the lights and colours of its busy casinos (Macau is a gambling hub!) and hotels resemble a psychedelic cityscape, and they say it induces an unexpected adrenaline rush. But what is often overlooked, amidst Macau’s excitant chaos, are its parks and gardens. Visitors can stroll in parks throughout the length and breadth of Macao and the islands, confident that the green lungs are constantly nourished and cared for. The city is shaded with many of these pockets of peace and nooks and crannies for that peace and quiet. Macao is a green community with tree-lined roads and flower gardens everywhere. There are also educational country parks, and some even house a zoo or cable cars from the hill! While visiting Macau, it is recommended that you take the opportunity to visit Sun Yat-Sen Park, located in the north of the Macau Peninsula. It is one of forty-three Sun Yat-Sen Parks in the world. It is the largest park on the Macau Peninsula. Sun Yat-Sen Park is divided into two main sections which have distinct styles – a classical Chinese garden with artificial lakes, an arched bridge, pavilions and towers. In contrast, the southwestern section is European in style with athletic facilities and greenhouses gardens. Within the park there is also an open-air theatre, a swimming pool, pelota courts and grassed areas. You could also choose to escape the city and crowds altogether to experience Macau’s beaches during the summer. Anticipate plenty of fresh salty air, relaxation and family-friendly beach activities and fun. Macau’s two main beaches are set on beautiful stretches of coastline on the southern side of Coloane Island. Here is our roundup of the best picnic spots in Macau:
