About Ziro

Ziro is a census town in Lower Subansiri district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh . It has been a favorite town for World Heritage Site for a number of years now. In a meeting of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) on December 12, 2012 it was shortlisted for inclusion in Tentative List for further nomination to UNESCO for inscription in the World Heritage Site. Pine Grove, which was founded in 1961, is an ideal picnic spot and is located 3 km from the main destination. Hapoli is situated in the Lower Subansiri district in Arunachal Pradesh and houses the main headquarters of the district administration. Namdapha National Park is the largest national park of the northeast region, which is also one of the largest wildlife protected areas In India. Tarin Fish Farm is a popular tourist attraction where breeding of high altitude fishes is done. The Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the famous attractions of Ziro that houses a diverse range of flora and fauna. Shiva Linga is located in the well known Sidheswar Nath Temple and was built in July 2004. Ziro Puto is among the popular hills, which offers a view of the valley where Ziro is located. Paddy Cum Fish Cultivation is a famous cultivation practice, where fishes are reared along with paddy cultivation. Tipi Orchid Research Centre, which is situated at Tipi, is surrounded with hills and semi green tropical rain forest vegetation.
