About

In Russian folk-tales, a 'Zhar-Ptitsa' is a magic bird that brings happiness wherever it goes. This recently-established theatre adopted the same name as the bird for the simple reason that it plays exactly those kind of plays in which the 'Zhar-Ptitsa' might appear. The theatre's repertoire is for audiences of all ages. There are plays about talking animals like The Three Bears for very young children or plays about good and evil for older children. Besides Russian folk tales, the theatre produces The Little Prince in three separate language versions: Russian, French and English.
