Hall of Abstinence (Zhai Gong), also called the Palace of Abstinence, is located in the Forbidden City. Historically, Chinese emperors were required to spend three days here abstaining from many physical pleasures and indulgences. Afterwards, they would perform the heaven-worshiping ceremony.

Hall of Abstinence (Zhai Gong), features a blue tile roof. There are also a number of copper statues in the facility. This palace was originally constructed in 1731 by Emperor Yong Zheng.
