Lithophiles can find polished stone sculptures and jewellery in a myriad of shapes cut from a banded siltstone hyperbolically dubbed Zebra Rock by locals. The rock was discovered in 1927 and is claimed to be unique to the Kimberley. Some of the bowls, vases and geometric paper weights might look more interesting than the type of things you get at Ikea. The Gallery also stocks a good range of Kimberley books and guides about the Kimberley. At the workshop you can watch the sculptors at work and buy bags of assorted rock pieces to make your own creations. Make sure to buy a mango smoothie, talk to the birds and feed the fish at the jetty on the Ord.
