The Yamba Museum occupies the original bowls clubhouse, built in 1937, which was moved to become the golf clubhouse in 1960, until their new premises opened in 1974.
The Port of Yamba Historical Society has occupied the building since 1981 and it is located adjacent to the Yamba Golf and Country Club in River Street. This small museum has an excellent photographic record of early Yamba and various working models. Displays are changed at regular intervals.
Special arrangements can be made for visiting coach tours and community groups and schools who wish to visit the Museum during and after normal opening hours.
Coaches and groups requiring morning or afternoon tea during their visit can be accommodated - enquiries are welcome.
There is unlimited parking for coaches. Bookings for these activities are essential.
