The best way to explore the heart of the new Ventura County Wine Trail Start at the Oxnard California Welcome Center . Why Well, the (literally) mouthwatering "Wine, Chocolate & Cheese Tours " depart from the CWC every weekend, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy delicious vino, delectable chocolate, and delightful cheeses. Wineries on the tours are members of the Ventura County Wine Trail. Tours run $75 per person, with 24-hour advance reservations required. Saturday tours include Heritage Square, Rancho Ventavo Cellars, La Dolce Vita Restaurant, Channel Islands Winery, Cantara Cellars, and Bella Victorian Vineyard. Sunday tours include Heritage Square, Rancho Ventavo Cellars, La Dolce Vita Restaurant, Herzog Wine Cellars, Channel Islands Winery, and Bella Victorian Vineyard. It goes without saying, but the tours are only open to persons 21 of age and older.
