About

A visit to the Wigay Aboriginal Culture Park will leave you with a unique cultural experience, and an understanding of the Dunghutti people (also known as Dainggatti) - the local Aboriginal people of this area. You will be greeted upon arrival by your guide for the day who will then escort you to their large undercover shelter shed. Richard* their main guide will give a didgeridoo demonstration and describe how they were used and made. If Goorie* is on duty, he will enthral one with his gum leaf renditions of some classic songs. This is very interactive and often has you laughing as you participate in trying to play these instruments. After this you will go on a short walk and learn how aboriginal people used some of the plants for food medicine or shelter. *Richard and Goorie's appearances are based on availability for groups.
