This speedway, which began in 1929, is recognised as one of the best in the world today. Six classes race here Midgets, Sprint Cars, Modified Sprints, TQ's (three-quarters), Motorcycles, and Kiwi Kidz. The circular track provides plenty of speed and a number of spills most Saturday nights between Nov and Mar. There is plenty of fast food available, a bar and fancy coffees. A word of warning choose your seat carefully, these cars throw up quite a bit of dirt!
