Werdinsel / Bad Au-Hongg is one of the few free bathing places in Zürich, it's on the river and on the weekend it might be very crowded, there is also a baby bathing place (not in the river) and a restaurant. Every two years there is a free music openair concert for two days, which is always great fun.
