Wendy Whitely's Gardens is one of the best places in Sydney for a family picnic . It's quirky and quiet with something around every corner to delight children and adults alike. The surprisingly large garden is lush and green with tree ferns, herbs, flowers, palm and fig trees and has amazing harbour views. It is hard to believe that in the 90's , this was a derelict rubbish heap-it is now a real oasis and possibly the best picnic spot in Sydney. It is a great place for kids of all ages to play and magical place and truly one of Sydney's hidden treasures .
