This old-fashioned Weinstube in the heart of the Altstadt has been popular for generations and is rich in tradition. The menu offers regional hot and cold dishes and light salads, plus lots of Rhine wine. The pork schnitzel with mushrooms is particularly savory. Two regional dishes include jagerschnitzel with mushrooms and tzigeunerschnitel with paprika, both served with boiled potatoes and a green salad. Tender rumpsteak is also a huge specialty here. At only 12 tables, they seat 85 guests. Six additional tables are placed out front in summer on the pedestrian mall.
