Lakkidi, the gateway of Wayand is on the top of ghat section while coming from Calicut to Wayanad. Lakkidi is almost 700 meters above the sea level. The spectacular view point with lofty mountain peaks, the gurgling stream, luxuriant vegetation and the bird's eye view of deep valley on the south and winding roads with hairpin bends are breath taking.
