One of two wax museums, this one houses more than 50 figures of popular personalities from the 19th, 20th and 21st century. Historical figures are forever immortalized in such exhibits as the "Hall of Celebrities of the 20th Century" and "Gallery of Totalitarian Rulers." The first Wax Museum in Prague was opened at Rapid Palace in March 1997, in the presence of many representatives from politics and culture. The establishment of such a museum, using solely Czech artists - sculptors, make - up artists, architects and designers - had been the long held dream of Zdenek Kocik, the museum's owner.
