Bali is known for its extraordinary water activities. There are plenty of scuba diving sites here. USAT Liberty at Tulamben in the east is particularly popular site and so is the coral bummies in Padang Bai. The calm reefs around Menjangan Island located in the North West and Nusa Penida in South Bali are all prominent scuba diving spots. As for surfing, Bali is one of the top destinations in the world. Kuta, Legian, Bukit Peninsula, Canggu and Nusa Lembongan are all known surfing spots. Sandy areas between Kuta and Legian are ideal spot for learners while Bukit Peninsula is meant for expert surfers. Ubud area is well-known for white-water rafting. Benoa Harbor is a prominent spot for sport fishing.
