Wat Ananda Metyarama is a  Chinese Temple.  The founder of Wat Ananda Metyarama is Venerable Luang Phor Hong Dhammaratano (Phra Dhammaratano Bandit) who came to Singapore in 1920 (2463 BE) with his disciple, Samanera Boonier. Seein g that there are no Theravada temples in Singapore at that time, they aspired to build one
