Walter Mancini Ristorante
Rua Avanhandava, 126 Cuisines: ItalianAbout
Walter Mancini Ristorante, named for the patriarch of the Mancini family's group of restaurants on Rua Avanhandava, combines fine Italian cuisine with an elegant atmosphere. Born out of a converted art studio, the restaurant features large windows looking out onto Avanhandava, marble columns and a long wooden bar. Live musicians playing Bossa Nova and Jazz regularly grace the grand piano. Specialties include: grilled lamb ribs, drizzled with an herb sauce and ratatouille; grilled medallions with a mustard-tarragon sauce, broccoli rice and french fries; and Pappardelle pasta with olive oil, garlic, zucchini, fresh tomatoes, basil and shrimp. Mancini Ristorante also serves the Brazilian class dish feijoada (pork and black bean stew) on Saturday.
