Wagah, is small place through which the notorious LOC, the border segregation line in-between India and Pakistan in the direct the separation of India, was drawn. Wagah  was separated by independence in 1947. Today, the east side of the place remains in India whereas the west side is in Pakistan.  It is mainly known for the systematic Wagah border traditional celebration. It happens at the border gate previous to sunset each day. 
Parade ceremony known as 'beating the retreat' ceremony begins with a high marching parade by the soldiers from India and Pakistan. Parade soldiers stands at attention on each side of the gate. After that, the important gates at the Wagah Border are opened aggressively.
