Vineria Cozzi
Via Colleoni 22
Cuisines: Italian
About
Cozzi isn't just a wine bar but a Bergamo institution. Its cane chairs are well worn with use by Bergamese and visitors who can't resist stopping in for a glass of wine while walking down Via Colleoni. Hundreds of bottles from throughout Italy line the walls and are served by the glass (from 1.55€/$2). Sandwiches are always available, as are several kinds of cheese, but the changing daily offerings usually include several pasta dishes and polenta with rich cheese folded into it, perhaps a torta stuffed with fresh vegetables and a main course or two -- if the duck breast stuffed with cabbage is available, order it.
