Villa Aurora
Predigtstuhl Wilhelminenstraße 237
About
This historical construction, erected in 1785, is an both a favorite day-trip destination and exhibition center. In summer, visitors sit in spacious guest gardens with a splendid view of the city, and in winter surround authentic wooden tables in one of their cozy rooms. The piece of land which lies in front of the villa is in the summer months mostly occupied by grazing sheep and serves in winter as a natural ice-skating ring. The owner has evidently taken some time in thinking up new ideas for his guests: picnic baskets can be hired, seminars, exhibitions and a miniature-train rides are only a few of the ways in which guests can pass their time. The cuisine is good and traditional with clever variations on favorites such as schnitzel, served on large silver platters. A tip worth remembering: they do a fantastic breakfast menu Aurora Fruhstueck, which includes a mini schnitzel and strudel.
