Via Calzaiuoli is for sure the most central and the most elegant of Florence , constant goal of an intense pedestrian traffic. The road, about four hundred meters long, has no sidewalks, as it is now for many years in the pedestrian zone and along its sides you will find many of the most elegant shops in Florence. Closed to motorized traffic, this unusually wide street is busy nonetheless with pedestrians, shops, cafes and historic attractions.
