The Avenue is a stunningly beautiful restaurant and bar in the heart of St. James's in the West End of London. The Avenue took the London restaurant scene by storm when it opened in what had been the traditional home of sleepy gentleman's clubs. A number of other restaurants have opened in St. James's, but none have come close in terms of its modern cooking, fabulous service and magical atmosphere. Designed by American architect Rick Mather, the Avenue's style can only be matched by the best restaurants in New York. The restaurant is reached after walking through one of the longest and most stylish bars in London. Contemporary lounge music sits side by side with funky and old fashioned cocktails alike. Or you can pick a wonderful wine from the adventurous wine list. The menu is progressive, modern European, and the seasonal emphasis of the cooking means that the menu changes regularly. The daily specials make sure there is always something new and interesting.
