Unakoti, located on a hillock is an archaeological site situated in Tripura, a northeastern state of India. Unakoti literally means 'one less than a crore.' It denotes the colossal bass relief representations of Lord Shiva in various forms along with other gods and goddesses. These sculptures on the hillocks and those depicting the face of Lord Shiva are considered to be the largest in India. These are unique rock-cut structures, which attract a large number of tourists and devotees.
