Horse racing in Udon Thani and indeed most parts of Thailand are not anywhere on a par with most other countries. In fact it is quite rare to even see a horse when visiting Udon Thani - all the same, Udon Thani does have a racecourse called the Entry to Intergames Park, which is located just outside the city, a little to the south east.
