Set in a beautiful 90 acre park, Tredegar House is one of the best examples of a 17th century Charles II mansion in Britain. The earliest surviving part of the building dates back to the early 1500’s. Visitors can discover what life was like for those who lived above and below stairs by touring the impressive state rooms and the intriguing servants’ quarters. It is easy to spend a leisurely day here, with plenty to interest all members of the family. Take a guided tour of the house, visit the children's playground, jogging trail and woodland walk or try your hand at boating on the lake. Why not treat yourself to refreshments at the Brew House afterwards The Visitor Centre provides information and a good selection of gifts. Special events are held at Tredegar House throughout the year, including family events, concerts, exhibitions and unique Halloween and Christmas celebrations.
