Designed in 1908 by brothers Charles and Henry Greene, who also created much of the residence's furnishings, the Gamble House is one of the great bungalows that exemplifies the American Arts & Crafts style of architecture. A National Historic landmark, the home is open for public tours. The adjacent Gamble House bookstore has an impressive collection of gift items and books for sale, covering the Arts & Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, American Art Pottery, and Japanese joinery.
