Recession some say is looming large on the horizon, I certainly hope that the naysayers are more in this case. Health and beauty related awareness has never been higher in India before, there is an upswing in current trends on personal care, health and hygiene. All of which leads into my very own niche of Spa's where the lifestyle is being accepted by a large number of people. An elitist activity no longer, going to a spa is becoming more of a weekend activity for more of the young professionals who now live in the bustling, youthful city of Pune. The luxury of a pampering one's own self and the health benefits, both physical and psychological is becoming more apparent to everyone. Taking care of one's own health by having a regular work out is already part of the neo urban mantra, where young people within the age of 40 are learning to keep themselves in good shape. Apart from attention from the opposite sex, one also develops a positive self image which gets severely affected with the everyday struggle of work and life. Balance is difficult to attain, Spas are today becoming one such destination that thrives to provide our clients with that much needed balance. The rooms are adequately moody and the colors that a person sees and what they hear all work towards letting clients feel at great ease. Looking at the ever increasing market segment, it only seems right to say that the future is bright, healthy and looks good too. The naysayers are not to be heard.
