Tory Bush Cottages are a cluster of nine traditional country cottages in extensive mature grounds with spectacular views of the Mourne Mountains, yet only 4 miles from the lively seaside resort of Newcastle. They are an ideal base for touring, hill-walking and cycling; there are bicycles to hire on site, and storage for your own bike. Maps and Guide books are available and advice on walking, cycling and touring routes. Each house has a large living room with an open fire and an adjoining kitchen with all modern appliances. One bedroom in each house is en-suite, there is a second bathroom and the other rooms have a wash- hand basin; all beds can be used as twin, singles or as a double, bed-linen and towels are supplied. The houses are all WiFi enabled with Freesat TV, video and DVD; baby cots, stair gates and high-chairs are also available. House 6 is built as the upstairs apartment in a Loft Style building and has a balcony opening from the sitting room to give spectacular views of the mountains in the evening sunshine. This apartment is accessed by an external stone staircase and is very private and secluded. It is popular all year round and booked most weekends right through the winter by couples enjoying a romantic break in a homely cottage with an open fire. There is a conference room on-site that can be used for, activities, meetings, or family functions. Located only 600 metres from Tory Bush, in Tollymore Forest Park is Ireland’s National Climbing Centre with an indoor climbing wall and high ropes course.
