Toompea Castle & Tall Hermann's Tower are located in the upper part of Old Town. The castle was built by the German Knights of the Sword in 1227. The castle served as the base for each reigning power throughout the centuries and now the Parliament resides here. The Tall Hermann's Tower was built at the end of the 14th Century in the southwestern corner. There are tours around the castle available. Call for booking information.
