The place has a deep spiritual association, but is spoilt by the typical hawkers forcing candles down your throat. The place was under maintenance when we visited and the typical aura which you encounter was missing. A must visit for a first timer to Goa though. The structure is unique. The body of the saint is kept without any preservatives and is over 400 years old. The existence of a supernatural force can be verified by seeing the same. It was nice to see the saint who brought Christianity to India.
