About
The traditional and much appreciated Tokyo 55 was brought back to life in 2008 after many years of silence. Situated alongside the Mamma Rosa restaurant complex, Tokyo 55 has taken back the same address where its predecessor, the very first Japanese restaurant in Helsinki, originally stood in the 60s. The menu includes sushi, sashimi and tempura favorites as well as touches of Finnish flavors, creating a unique experience for the taste buds. The dessert list includes a mouthwatering mix of Japanese and more modern though equally delicious dishes. Tokyo 55 also has a Sushi Academy designated to teaching the fine art of sushi rolling. - Paula Holst
