This relaxed restaurant in the garden of an attractive wooden Thai house is tucked away down Soi 5, but popular with locals. The atmospheric dining area is outside, although there are covered verandas and an air-conditioned room inside if it is raining. The mainly timber-decked garden has weathered wooden furniture, sheltered by large canvas umbrellas and carefully lit by angled spotlights and table candles. The food is spicy Thai with a twist and all reasonably priced. There is a selection of appetizers, varieties of salads, omelets, chicken, beef and seafood, and soups. A bar near the entrance offers cocktails, spirits, soft drinks, shakes and very cold beer: Singha or Asahi. - Alyson Hilbourne
