The famous Tilinga Mandir (Bell Temple) at Bordubi about 25 km from Tinsukia and 10 kms from Duliajan, Assam. This bell temple is as spiritually and mystically strong as any other temple. There are hundreds and thousands of bells of all sizes in bronze, brass, copper and aluminum that's tied to the big banyan tree (peepal) and its various branches. Long ago, a black rock in the shape of Shiva Lingam was unheartened and nestled among the roots of the peepal tree (banyan). People discovered mysterious power that wishes expressed under the tree come true and gestured by hanging a bell on the tree. The custom however changed and people tie bells and make their wishes.
