Tigra Dam (Tighara Dam) is a freshwater reservoir constructed on the Sank River, some 23 km from Gwalior and is a major source of water for the city dwellers. This dam had a dubious history of having failed twice. However, today it has emerged as a favourite destination for families to spend some good time together. Children also enjoy and learn about dams on a visit to this site.
