The Trivandrum International terminal is located approximately 3.7 km (2.3 mi) due west from the city centre , 16 km (9.9 mi) from Kovalam beach. Terminal 2 handles international flight operations. Both the terminals have single entry gates and boast X-ray baggage screening facilities. Terminal 2 has different facilities in the departure and arrival areas. The departure area has banking facilities, restaurants, tea and coffee vending machines, and telephone booths, while the arrivals area has postal and banking facilities.
