Theatercafe is a relatively new restaurant, which is situated directly opposite the theater an der Wien and is easily the coolest and most modern of the theater restaurants in the city. The reworked interior and the excellent, highly creative menu has shot this restaurant to fashionable status in a very short time period. At lunchtime, the emphasis is more on fine Viennese cuisine and is also accompanied by a less expensive menu. In the evenings the menu is inspired by Asian influences. The restaurant sets a cluster of tables outside during the summer months, however, throughout the year there is coffee and bar drinks served in the front of the establishment and a Cigar Club in a separate room.
