Around 600 km North-West to Dhaka the Temple of Kanat Jiu, Locally known as Kantajir Mondir was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16 th century. The entire temple is made of thousands of marvellous Terra Kota pieces depicting the story of legendar Hindu Myth Ramayan and Maha Bharatha, There is also a huge lake near Dinajpur the district HQ and sevaral samples pf ancient Budhist civilization and remains of the Dinajpur Moharaja. It takes roughly 7 hours in vehicles from Dhaka. Trains also run between Dhaka and Dinajpur everyday. Dining and lodging facilties are acailable at Dinajpur district HQ.
