This building is located on a picturesque site with ultra-modern in-house facilities. The building consists of VIP Block, Assembly Block and the Secretariat Block.The Assembly Hall has Audio and Video archival systems, automatic vote recorders, digital microphone systems and connectivity arrangements for e-legislative activities. In the ancient days The Secretariat was the palace of the Muslim ruler Adil Shah of Bijapur. Then later the monument was converted into viceroy's official residence in 1759 by the Portuguese. But today it houses Goa's state legislative assembly.
