Located in Sarasota's revitalized Rosemary District, the Rustic Grill is a fabulous restaurant housed in a former 1920s motorcycle repair shop. With an interior reminiscent of a Spanish galleon, complete with exposed brick and wrought iron ornaments, Rustic Grill is a delicious departure from typical sunshiny Florida decor. The menu is even better, focusing on Southern-style comfort food with a modern twist, including Cornish game hen split roasted and finished with an orange Grand Marnier glaze; and, for dessert, baked peaches in pastry with goat cheese (!) ice cream. The wine list is equally exceptional.
