The Ridge and Mall Road are packed with restaurants and shops. The Mall road is located a level below the ridge.The Ridge road is a large open space, located in the heart of Shimla.
The Ridge road has some very beautiful buildings including the town hall and the Gaiety theater. The christ church is also located on the Ridge.
Mall road has a number of showrooms, department stores, shops, restaurants and cafes. A Himachal emporium that offers handicraft products of Himachal Pradesh like locally designed woollen cloths, branded cloths, pottery items, and jewellery is also located here.
