The Mav Museum is a unique reality of its own in the heart of the city of Herculaneum. It offers the opportunity to take a virtual dive into history. Thanks to new technology, a visitor has the chance to experience a multi-sensorial and emotional journey exploring the archaeological area of the volcano Vesuvius. In a dynamic and fascinating storyline that represents the past, the visitor will be able to live a lost history - one which began two thousand years ago - and explore the sites in their original form, before the eruption of 79 CE. One can meet and put faces to famous names of the past, great scholars, brilliant philosophers, stroll through Greek gardens and the library of the Villa of the Papyri, explore ancient monuments, and find treasure chests filled with jewels.
