The Maskmakers Shop is one of the oldest and finest mask making workshops in Venice . We are known for one main reason: our respect of tradition. However, we have been able to interpret tradition in innovative ways, creating new and unique decorative styles and shapes. We craft authentic handmade masks in the same way Venetian artisans would do 800 years ago. On the other hand, we never repeat a decoration, so each mask is unique.Our masks were featured in important film productions like Eyes Wide Shut by Stanley Kubrick and theatres like the Vienna Opera Haus. we have been holding intensive courses and conferences on Venetian masks to groups of all ages. Our courses are very popular because, while providing the most important theoretical and practical knowledge , they also leave room for creativity . We organise mini-courses especially for families or individuals
