Downtown's most recent night hotspot, the Loft started out as a lesser known small concert venue that didn't have a sign. Originally, visitors entered through a Chinese bakery and headed upstairs to a sparse, warehouse-like area sans bar with bench-like seating. Now, there's a glowing sign on Hotel Street that signals indy and alternative types to enjoy themed events like the popular 80's nights on Wednesdays.
