Anje, the South African owner of Fairy Cafe (and a big fan of fairies), fell in love with Taipei and decided to set up her dream shop in a little red brick cottage. While it may seem a little strange ordering coffee from a lady who's convinced she's descended from real fairies, the place is cute and the afternoon tea from 2:00pm to 5:00pm includes a nice selection of desserts or sandwiches. The Fairy Cafe also serves basic breakfast items, quiche, hamburgers, sandwiches, and handmade desserts.
